Bird in color pencil

This is a piece I did in color pencil. I used standard Prismacolors, building in the colors trying to get the look of feathers. I find color pencils fairly easy to use. I have a small set of watercolor pencils that I plan to try soon. I didn't do anything for background as I wanted to concentrate on the bird itself.

lovely colors! have you tried watercolor pencils? They are WONDERFUL! Draw and color as usual but then with a very slightly damp brush or a damp Q-tip, you can subtly blend the colors and it is so much fun, with gorgeous results. keep up the good work!
